This policy explains what information UniFix Appliance Repair (“UniFix,” “we”) collects when you contact us, book a repair, use our website or exchange text messages with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers both of our locations, in San Rafael (Marin County) and San Francisco.

Information We Collect

When you contact UniFix Appliance Repair by phone, text message, email, or through our website request form, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, service address, and details about the appliance issue you need repaired. We collect this information to schedule and provide appliance repair services.

If you exchange text messages with us, we also keep your mobile phone number, the messages you send us and the messages we send you, the date and time of each message and its delivery status, and a record of your text-message consent: how you gave it (by phone when booking, by texting us first, or by checking the box on our website form), when, and whether you later opted out.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to schedule appointments, communicate about your repair, provide service estimates and invoices, and follow up on completed work. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Text Messages (SMS) and Your Mobile Information

If you agree to receive text messages, we use your mobile number only to send messages about the service you requested and to reply to messages you send us:

• booking confirmations, reminders and rescheduling;
• a notice when your technician is on the way, with an estimated arrival time;
• estimates, invoices and parts status for your repair;
• one request for a review after the job is completed.

We do not send advertising or promotional offers by text. Message frequency varies by service request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Agreeing to text messages is not a condition of receiving service. Full details are in our SMS Terms.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We do not sell or rent mobile phone numbers. The only outside parties that handle your mobile number are the service providers and wireless carriers that transmit our messages on our behalf, and only to deliver them.

We keep text messages and consent records with your service record for as long as we need them to provide and support your repair, keep our business records, and honor your choices. If you opt out, we keep your number on our do-not-text list so that we do not text you again unless you opt back in.

Website Request Forms

Our website request forms are delivered to our email through FormSubmit (formsubmit.co). The text-message checkbox on the forms is optional and is not checked in advance; if you leave it unchecked, we will contact you by phone or email instead.

Cookies and Analytics

Our website uses Google Tag Manager to manage analytics and tracking tools (such as Google Analytics). These tools collect anonymous usage data such as pages visited, time on site, and referring sources to help us understand how visitors use our site and improve the experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Third-Party Services

Our website may contain links to third-party services such as Google Maps and Google Business Profile. These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. Our services and website are intended for adults arranging appliance repair. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
