SMS Terms
Text messages from UniFix Appliance Repair about your repair: what we send, how often, and how to get help or opt out.
These terms apply to text messages (SMS) sent by UniFix Appliance Repair about appliance repair service requests, from our Marin County number (415) 494-7882 and our San Francisco number (415) 683-0403.
Program Name and Purpose
UniFix Appliance Repair service texts. We use text messages only to communicate with customers about appliance repair they have requested from us. We send:
- Booking messages: appointment confirmations, reminders and rescheduling;
- Arrival notices: a message when your technician is on the way, with an estimated arrival time;
- Estimates and invoices: links to your estimate or invoice and updates on ordered parts;
- Review request: one message after a completed job asking whether you would review our service;
- Replies to messages you send us.
We do not send advertising or promotional offers by text, and we do not sell or share your number with others for their marketing.
How You Agree to Receive Texts
You receive texts from us only after you agree in one of these ways:
- By phone when you book. When you call to schedule a repair, we ask whether you would like text messages about your service request at the mobile number you give us. We say: “Would you like text messages from UniFix Appliance Repair about this repair at this number? That includes booking confirmations, technician arrival, estimates and invoices, and one review request. Message frequency varies, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.” If you say yes, we record your consent, the date and the number in your customer record and send a confirmation text. If you say no, we contact you by phone or email.
- By texting us first. If you send a text message to (415) 494-7882 or (415) 683-0403 about a repair, we reply about your request, and the service messages above follow for the job you asked about.
- On our website request form. Our request forms include an optional checkbox, not checked in advance, that reads: “Yes, text me about this service request from UniFix Appliance Repair (booking confirmations and reminders, technician arrival, estimates and invoices, and one review request after the job). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. Consent is not a condition of service.” If you leave it unchecked, we contact you by phone or email. You can see the form at unifixservices.com/contact/.

Agreeing to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any service.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies by service request. A typical repair involves a booking confirmation, a reminder or arrival notice, an estimate or invoice, and one review request after the job; rescheduling, parts orders and your own questions can add messages.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your plan.
How to Opt Out (STOP)
Reply STOP to any text message from us to stop receiving texts. You will receive one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and we will not send further text messages unless you opt in again. You can also opt out by calling us or emailing [email protected]. To start receiving texts again, reply START.
