Most dishwasher calls are drainage, leaks or wash performance. The drain side is quick to check: filter, drain pump, check valve, the drain hose loop and the garbage-disposal connection. Leaks take more patience, because water often shows up far from where it escapes, and many European dishwashers shut down with a leak code when a few ounces reach the base pan.

Panel-ready and European dishwashers
Integrated dishwashers with custom cabinet fronts (Bosch, Miele, Asko, Thermador, Fisher & Paykel DishDrawers) have to be removed carefully to protect the panel and the flooring. We diagnose as much as possible in place before pulling a unit.
When we could not find it
Intermittent leaks are the hardest dishwasher fault to catch. One customer left a four-star review after we could not fully diagnose a leak on the visit and refunded the diagnostic fee. We would rather say that than guess and sell a part.
Repair or replace?
Pumps, latches, gaskets and inlet valves are routine. A control board on an inexpensive dishwasher that is ten or more years old is usually not worth it; on a Miele or Bosch integrated unit it often is.

How a visit works
- Book. Call (415) 494-7882 or use the form below. Tell us the brand, model and what the appliance is doing; we confirm the diagnostic fee and an arrival window before scheduling. Same-day appointments when available.
- Diagnose. The technician tests the appliance in your home and explains what failed and why.
- Approve the price. You get the repair price before any work starts, and decide whether to go ahead.
- Repair or order parts. Drain pumps, latches, gaskets and inlet valves are routine. Parts for European and panel-ready dishwashers are often ordered after diagnosis.
Before you book
- Write down any code. Note exactly what the display shows (for example a Bosch E15 or E24) and when in the cycle it stops.
- Standing water. Turn the dishwasher off. You can scoop out water, but leave the filter and pump to us if the water will not drain.
- Find the model number. Usually on the edge of the door or the side of the tub frame, visible with the door open.
- Custom cabinet panel?. Tell us if the front matches your cabinets, so we plan for removal without damaging the panel or floor.

My Bosch shows E15. What does it mean?
Water has reached the base pan and the leak float has tripped. The machine will pump out and refuse to run until the base is dry and the leak source is fixed.
