Appliance repair services in Marin County: local options compared

Five companies that serve Marin, compared on the same published facts. No rankings, no scores.

Rated 4.9 on Google from 107 reviews · Factory-trained technicians · Lic. 65972

Disclosure: This page was written and published by UniFix Appliance Repair, and UniFix is one of the companies compared. We applied the same criteria to every company, used each company’s own published information, and did not rank anyone. Information was checked on October 1, 2026; prices and policies change, so confirm directly before booking.

How we compared

We included companies that state on their own websites that they repair household appliances in Marin County and that publish enough information to compare. For each one we recorded the same items: where it is based, the area it says it serves, the appliances and brands it names, its published diagnostic or service-call fee and what happens to that fee if you go ahead, published hours, scheduling terms, published warranty, license as listed, and any manufacturer training or authorization it states.

We did not include star ratings. We could not check every company’s rating on the same platform on the same day, and mixing platforms would not be a fair comparison. Look companies up on Google or Yelp yourself and compare like with like.

Where a company does not publish something, we say “Not publicly listed — confirm directly” rather than guess. For the other companies, manufacturer training or authorization is reported as each company describes it on its website.

Questions to ask before you book

  1. What is the diagnostic or service-call fee for my appliance and brand, and does it change for evenings, weekends or my town?
  2. If I approve the repair, is the fee waived, applied toward the bill, or charged separately?
  3. Is there a minimum labor charge, and is labor flat-rate or hourly?
  4. Are parts OEM? If a part has to be ordered, is there a charge for the second visit?
  5. What warranty comes with the repair, for how long, and does it cover parts, labor or both? Is it in writing?
  6. If my appliance is still under the manufacturer’s warranty, are you authorized for that brand? (You can confirm with the manufacturer.)
  7. What is your license number? Appliance repair dealers in California register with the Bureau of Household Goods and Services.
